Profinet IO RT Controler (Ref: STK-PROFINETM)


The straton communication stack is a package for OEMs anxious to integrate the Profinet IO RT client in their products line. OEMs using straton can easily integrate the Profinet IO RT technologies in their actual solution. The data to be exchanged directly with the local database or using straton as a gateway to exchange the data through the supported fieldbus like MODBUS or proprietary CAN.

Straton® Profinet Client/Server

The straton IEC 61131 standard Soft PLC supports the Profinet standard for real time communications over Ethernet hardware.

 

An advantage of Profinet is that it uses standard CAT5 cables and connectors, compared to the expensive connectors and termination required by Profibus. Using the straton runtime from COPALP, control engineers can reduce system costs further by replacing dedicated fieldbus hardware with a software Profinet client and server, without any loss of performance.

 

 

Configuration of Profinet RT/IO in the straton Integrated Development Environment


COPALP provides an integrated configuration tool for the Profinet Client and Server based on the Driver Development Kit. The result is a transparent integration of this additional Fieldbus in the straton IEC 61131 programming environment.

 

 

 

 

The configuration tool enables the configuration of the device using GSDML files, this is a convenient tool for a fast and simple configuration of your Profinet IO RT networks.
