StratonŽ Runtime

The Straton T5 Runtime is a true portable 'C' code software component that is independent of any operating system and from any hardware.

The Runtime is delivered at the source code level, with the VM Development Tool Kit for the OEM's, Hardware Manufacturers and Integrators.

Runtime features

  • Hot, Warm and cold restart
  • Networking with support of multiple simultaneous open connections
  • Built-in I/O system open for 'C' programming
  • Easy implementation of redundant systems
  • Embedded symbol table
  • Support of MODBUS and Open MODBUS (Master/Slave)
  • Upload of the symbols from the Virtual Machine
  • Strict triggering of program inputs and outputs
  • Functions and function blocks written in 'C'
  • Open embedded database for OEM defined variable properties
  • Support of multitasking in a project
  • Support of binding
  • Support of various integer/float data types (from 8 to 64 bits)
  • Support of external variables and arrays locate outside the virtual machine database
  • Support of On Line change with modification of the variable map (change the code, add/delete/rename variables, function block instances...)

Straton Runtime Development Kit

The stratonŽ Rutime is a true portable 'C' code software component that is independent of any operating system and from any hardware.

It is delivered at the source code level, with the VM Development Tool Kit for the OEM's, Hardware Manufacturers and Integrators.

Most of portability issues for taking care of CPU, OS and compiler conventions are solved by a set of definitions.

A wizard provides a graphic interface for entering all definitions according to your platform. This ensures that your implementation can be easily maintained or upgraded with later releases of stratonŽ.

Operating System / CPU

  • Windows Embedded
  • Windows CE
  • Linux
  • DOS
  • Venturcom RTX
  • Nucleus
  • VRTX
  • VxWorks
  • QNX
  • Intime
  • Several proprietary OS

Development Kit

The Development kit includes:

  • Powerful visual wizards for declaring all OS/CPU conventions
  • Visual tools for building and maintaining "C" projects
  • Various examples of system dependent layers
  • Various examples of integration (Win32, WinCE, Linux, DOS, RTX...)
  • Rich On Line documentation with guidelines, documented examples and full reference

Smart and simple integration

Thanks to our experience in embedded system, the integration of the Virtual Machine is smart and simple, the first prototype of the VM on your platform could be realize in few day during our stratonŽ Runtime Integration Training.

Below are the main reasons for the easy integration:

  • Hardware independence (CPU, memory support, backup support...)
  • O.S. independence (mono-tasking, multi-thread or multi-process implementations)
  • Highly scalable: select only the features you need
  • Easy integration within a specific embedded application
  • Powerful visual wizards for declaring all OS/CPU conventions
  • Strict ANSI "C"code
