Straton IEC 60870 stack

IEC60870 is an international standard for system monitoring and telecontrol in utilities for water distribution, gas and electricity distribution and power systems. Mainly used in Europe, it consists of two parts: IEC60870 client and IEC 60870 server. The straton IEC 870 stack supports both IEC 60870-5-101 (serial communication RS232 and RS485) and IEC60870-5-104 (TCP / IP).

The IEC 60870-5-10x protocol defines the messages and values to be sent from the slave (Controlled station) to the master (Controlling Station) after a change, there is no polling procedure. After establishing the connection, the master sends a "General Query" request to the slave to get the current status of all data points. From that point, the slave sends back the changes of data if needed.

The IEC60870 solution provided by COPALP enables a fast and robust integration of the protocol in any RTU, industrial PC or embedded platform. This solution is based on straton components.

A dedicated interface allows the connection of variables using many supported drivers: shared memory, CAN, MODBUS, IEC61850, PROFINET, PROFIBUS I / O Physical and proprietary database.

The configuration tool is fully integrated into the straton development environment. The variable declaration is made using a powerful tag editor and / or through .CSV files using an import / export function.
